Constituent assembly for NGOs “IUVENTA” was held 17.02.2009. 27.03.2009. organization is
officially registered in the Register of Associations social and political organizations.
The NGO “IUVENTA” works in the areas of: youth participation, youth policy, volunteerism, human
rights, violence prevention, gender equality, democracy and civil society.
Our field is education. We work for:
- Youth empowerment to stimulate and motivate them to become active in the local community
- Promotion of volunteering as a tool to develop personal and professional skills
- Rising awareness on human rights and promoting their respect
- Promoting the culture of peace, cultural and religious diversity.
- contribution of the youth participation in the society trough preparation of the youth to take more active role in salvation, as well as their own problems and the problems of the community and broader society.
The project
Over Limits Sports
Our daily work consists in organizing activities with a variety of learners, at local, national and international
level. We make a deep analysis of those that are the needs of the youngsters and we are including them
into the topic for the project so we can give the equal chance to every young person to contribute in every
field they feel comfortable to work about.
Our staff prepares the youth leaders that accompany the Serbian participants to the trainings abroad, train
youth workers and on the other hand our youth leaders and youth workers prepare the groups for the
international activities.
We train mentors and tutors for international volunteers. We provide on arrival preparation to the
volunteers and to the interns that we, or our local partners, host. We also prepare the staff of the
organizations that host international trainees and volunteers. We help young people understand the
mechanisms of political and social dialog, aiming at creating a strong civic society in Serbia.
Main activities include:
- organized various seminars on topics that are interesting to youth such as youth activism,
sports themes, discrimination, work in divided communities etc. - Organization of cultural events (exhibitions, promotions, debates, theatre and performances)
- activities for the psychological development of youth
- activities related to the prevention of violence at school
- Information about volunteering, youth mobility, activism, and other topics important for development youngsters
The organization consists of 6 people that constantly coordinate the activities and 150 volunteers that are
group leaders, youth workers, junior trainers, junior project managers. All the staff is educated and has
experience in the areas we are covering.
Among our staff we can count on:
- highly skilled persons involved in the NGO sector for more than 10 years
- communicators, trainers, youth leaders and youth workers
- we have 4 senior project managers and 5 juniors;
Our staff takes part in a number of international trainings and seminars to improve our skills and
qualifications.
